Retractable Leashes No Longer Allowed

To Our Clients:

Effective Immediately, we no longer allow retractable leashes while inside the building. Retractable leashes are not ideal for safe and effective leash handling. If you do not have a regular leash, we have them available for use while you are here for your visit.

Also, a visit to the vet can be a very scary and stressful experience for many pets. For the safety and well-being of all animals and humans in our hospital, please be mindful of the following:

All dogs must be on a regular leash. All cats and small animals must be in a carrier.

We have a spacious lobby with dog-friendly and cat-friendly waiting areas. Whenever possible, please try to wait in the appropriate area.

Cat owners: Our benches are large enough for your carrier to help keep them off the ground. Cats feel safer when they are higher up.

Dog owners: Please keep your dog close to you at all times. Do not allow your dog to wander. Do not allow your dog to approach other animals or humans.

We have found that it can be less stressful for some pets to wait for their exam in their vehicle or outside during nice weather. If your pet is reactive to other animals or humans or your pet is very anxious, you are welcome to wait in your vehicle until we are ready to see you.

Our goal is for our patients and clients to have a comfortable and stress-free experience when they visit our hospital. We appreciate your understanding!
